Lief "The Mayor" Rodgers rides with the kind of calm that usually means someone is about to do something terrifying. Big days, steep trails and long transfers don’t really seem to register. He just keeps pedaling. The guy treats suffering like background noise. Coming out of the Port Moody scene means wet roots, punchy climbs and learning how to stay smooth when everything underneath you wants to throw you into the forest. That style carries into everything he rides. We like athletes who aren’t trying to become influencers first and riders second. Lief still feels like a rider in the purest sense of the word — someone who would be out there whether cameras existed or not.
